NGC 7293 (R.F. Joyce Observatory; 30-07-2017)

The Helix Nebula is a planetary nebula - a star that blew off its outer shell of gas in one of its final stages of life. These expanding rings and the tiny star in the centre are what remains. Photo stuff: 51 frames @ 180s; ISO 800; Canon 60Da on RCX400 16" f/8 with .70 focal reducer.
