For those with no other business and a touch of sadism in them I've put together this procedure for polar aligning the EQ6 mount. The telescope sitting on top is irrelevant.
First try would probably take you about 1 hour and get you in an area good enough to piggy back for 3min max with a 50mm lens. Practice makes perfect and the more time you spend on drift aligning the better the accuracy will be. Duh!
