This is especially how I felt back in the Netherlands as a photographer. Visual overthere is just… meh, wonder if this (joke) holds up here a bit as well. 🙂
Depends on who you’re asking. Some people have zero interest in imaging and others zero interest in visual. I’m about 90/10 imaging, I enjoy visual but nowhere near as much as imaging. Visual is definitely a lot different when you have a dark sky though!
Yes, true that, I was amazed at that Turantula nebula through the 16″, to even see a bit of detail is something you can tooootally forget where I come from. But my mind immediately went to… that would be so awesome stacked… 🙂
Oh yeah there is an awe of seeing something with your own eyes but the detail you get with imaging is something else
