Hi,
Is it normal to have so many comets visible within such a short time span? Though granted some of the images being loaded on Astronomy in New Zealand’s facebook page are by talented astronomers with good kit. I count three at the moment. Two of them are green! It’s rather an exciting time.

I gather there are lots and lots of comets out there at one time. We just can’t see them without a telescope and a bit of software. Attempts to find the average of visible ones a year is ongoing.
