Terry and I found red LED bulbs, (luminaires), and they are quite bright so good for outdoors. I use mine on my front porch. Mindful of the previous message a red light in front of a house used to represent :). I can’t remember from where we got them from? Either Bunnings or Mitre 10. Probably the former since I looked for them in Mitre 10 last week. Verve brand with bayonet fitting. Make sure the shielding of the outdoor light is below the horizontal.
I noted on a post by Ian Griffin that his place has very bright outdoor white lights so maybe someone could send him a couple :). Though I am led to believe that white light is easier to remove in astrophotography post processing then red :).
Lighting is a pretty big topic. I will need committee permission, and a review, before I can present a consolidation of recommendations.
