    Hi all,

    During the last members night I had the great opportunity to take my first shot with the 60Da camera mounted on the 120mm refractor telescope (even if the sky was a bit cloudy)!

    As I’d be super keen to learn more on astrophotography (and to take some more shots through the telescopes), is there anyone  heading up to the observatory this week or the next one which I may tag along with? I imagine it would be great to keep practicing on the 120mm but, as I am right at the beginning, learning on any other telescope is also very helpful.

    Happy to learn by looking at what more experienced members do while chatting under the stars!

    Hi all,

    I’m not sure if I’ll be heading out tonight – depends on what’s happening re: cars here at home. However, due to a recent operation, I’m not allowed to lift anything heavier than a set of keys. I’m happy to show you some of what can be done on the 16″ if you can help with opening/closing the roof, etc.

    As for accreditation, Terry just ran me through the new CPC procedures so I’m think I’m once again good for just about anything with a focuser at the observatory.

    Is anyone heading up to the observatory tonight (Sunday 2/5)? I’ll be hiking today but I should be able to get to the observatory at about 8.30ish.
