Speculations on Ocean Worlds and How They May Address the Fermi Paradox
It has been learned that our solar system is replete with worlds possessing interior water oceans. Such worlds are likely to be common in
extrasolar planetary systems as well. I will review these developments and then examine some implications of the fact that their interiors
are well-cloaked from the external universe by massive overlying burdens of rock and/or ice.
