remember the group of us imagers tucked up the other end of the field at Staveley ?
Well I was imaging from most of the night on Saturday and into Sunday morning!
I just finished processing the data I collected on M42.
Yeah I know – everyone images it .. so I tried to do something different from the over processed images I seem to see on that object.
Something a little more subtle … and I am really pleased how the new camera worked out!
I managed to process out most of the lasers and ditched a few subs to ensure best quality 🙂

Orion Nebula – One Shot Colour from ASI071MC Pro – SV80ST – CEM60 – 2 hours of images at 180s – Taken at Staveley Stardate South Island
Everyone is getting some great images of late. I took multiple photos of you guys at work within your own ‘camp fire’ of red head lamps and computer screens.
This picture looks amazing, the colors, the depths, the contrast, the sharpness – it is probably coming close to what they can do with the Hubble space telescope!? You should definitely keep doing it.

My image has also won Image of the Week at Stellarvue – who made my scope and will be up next week 🙂
Finally on the road to cracking one of these 🙂
BTW its the first time Kiwi entry has ever won Stellarshot of the Week 🙂
