Simon LewisKeymasterLooking good – will be well before dark if some of the new members want to start learning the ropes and find their way round the observatory
I’ll be there from around 6.30 pm
Cheers

Simon LewisKeymasterHi all
If I bring my EQ6-R and scope down tomorrow night early, is someone able to walk me through the Polar/alignment process please?
Also, in terms of software required, is SharpCap 3.2 all I need to have installed and do I need the ‘Pro’ version? I am just using my scope for visual at this time.
Thanks heaps

AnonymousInactiveYou don’t need a perfect polar alignment like you will get from sharpcap for visual, a rough one will be plenty good enough! Plenty of people will be able to show you how to get a good enough polar alignment for visual

Simon LewisKeymasterThanks Josh. I need to make myself familiar with SharpCap too because I’m about 4 weeks from purchasing my asi1600 mono.
Will see you tonight.

AnonymousInactiveSorry wasn’t there last night. I got my asi1600 about two weeks ago but had to send my mount away for repairs so no use on it yet!
