Hi all, finally we are able to get into the room we were using last year before we all went into lockdown. We postponed our AGM from March until this month so that we could hold it in person.

I do hope that you will all be able to attend, even if it is only to have a cuppa and a biscuit or two. There are a few places available on our committee if you feel the need to get involved with the Society. We have our committee meetings on the second Tuesday of the month, a week prior to our public meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.

Please feel free to attend and get to know your committee and ask any questions about the Society.

Hi Carol,

I did not get an email notification of this announcement…I just so happened to  log in to check what time the meeting would be on Tuesday and saw this announcement!

I guess i did not get a notification because I don’t subscribe to the “Astronomy (Public Forum)” – if there are other members out there who have not subscribed to this thread they may not know of this AGM info…maybe a email to all members as well might be an idea?

There is an email going out to everyone with the details of the AGM but I will also add that, according to UC requirements, all attendees MUST wear a mask indoors and in the classroom. We will also have the attendance book available and also hand sanitiser.
