AnonymousInactiveHi. The lockdown has seen an explosion of information and lectures to be found. I have been kept quite busy over the lockdown. Along with days or weeks celebrating something related to astronomy. This one popped up for this month accompanied by a zoom video cast of a webinar. One for the larks of this world though :).

AnonymousInactiveThe 2hr event was recorded and available for download. I have a variety of file sizes. Though the two video files range from 0.9G to 1.1G. The first 10 minutes look pretty good and I will duly watch the rest today. Not sure on public viewing rights at say a CAS lecture night, but we can but ask.

AnonymousInactiveThey have also started up a live online television channel. Supported by multiple industries, ESA, ESO, LSN and also the UN. Edit: I think this No. 5 (Short Circuit) has met her match.

AnonymousInactiveThe webinar focused on how and why they are searching for NEOs, (Near Earth Objects), and the DART mission, launching next month. Where they will impact an asteroid to push it out of its orbit. The TV channel is eye opening with, for me, tonnes of information on forthcoming space crafts sent to research asteroids and anything related to asteroids both in space and the ones that have reached earth in our recorded life time. I suppose it helps to be unemployed :).
