For all astrophotographers here, full disclaimer, I’m now providing services for this program, being an official moderator in the support forum of the product. I hope I’m allowed to post this, but it’s a genuine product which I think is really beneficial for the hobby.
I only became involved because I stumbled upon this package, which is 1 year old now, during my learning-curve in post-processing. And it genuinely blew me away with the ability to automatically creating the best mosaics I ever did, having really good calibration and ease of use in general. I’ve used everything from Maxim to PixInsight and this just started producing results that took hours to days in the other ones. I’m still post-processing a bit in PixInsight, but the rest I now do in APP. It really improves my results and I’m seeing many beginning photographers which struggled with DSS and PixInsight, suddenly producing way better things. Many professional photographer around the world are starting to use it and there are even bigger things waiting to happen, it’s moving fast. Big astro-channels online are also mentioning it more frequently.
As I am involved, I asked if it would be possible to have discounts for a larger group like we have here. And the developer says that if we have at least 5 people wanting to buy/rent (2 options) it, he can give that. And ofcourse, the more want it, the more discount he gives. Have a look at astropixelprocessor.com and I can always answer question both in here as on the forum over there. Trials are available with full functionality.
Hi Vincent, I took out a 1 year rental on APP last month, and it is a fantastic tool, with great manual and automatic functionality. Here are two mosaics I put together using APP, Photoshop Astro. Tools and data from a robotic telescope service I use.
