Call for Open Night Volunteers

Hi folks

Open nights will be on us very soon and we are now calling for volunteers to help out on these events.

We have a number of different days available and you don’t need to volunteer for every night or every week – but any night you can assist on really does help!

Please don’t let concerns about experience or knowledge hold you back from volunteering either 🙂   Open nights are a great chance to buddy up on a scope and gain experience using our observatory equipment, listen to what we talk about, and very soon you could be running the scope for the evening ..if you would like to!

This year we have a new tool to manage our busy open night schedule. It’s simple to use and takes just a minute or two to volunteer.

To volunteer please head over to https://cas.ivolunteer.com/

Choose the events you are volunteering for … Fridays, mid weeks, kidsfest etc

You will see a calendar with the events marked

 

Click the volunteer button and enter your details

You will get a ‘please confirm your email address’ email sent to the address you enter for the first time only. After you do this it will remember you.

The tool will send you a reminder the day before the event and if you need to cancel you can do via the email confirmation or you can visit the site and cancel as well from there.
