Simon LewisKeymasterDale is continuing her well earned break and so this months CASMAG will be via this email update.
As you will have seen today Level 2 restrictions continue so our public open night programme remains halted for now. We hope that on 21st September these are lifted and we might manage one last open night before daylight savings kicks in and our winter programme draws to a close. Fingers crossed for the weather!
Our Tuesday monthly meeting arrangements remain in place like last month. The meeting room is open for visitors and we will be also broadcasting via Zoom for those that do not wish to attend in person. Our monthly guest speaker for this month is Aayushi Verma talking about her experiences at UC as an astronomy student.
This Saturdays members night will go ahead for those who wish to attend. Please see the notes about hygiene. Its a new moon and the forecast so far looks good.
Kind regards – Your CAS Committee
Please Note!
There are some requirements for hygiene and use of the log in the observatory if visiting. This is extremely important so that we can keep a trace on who is using the observatory and protect you, our observatory teams and our membership. Your help is required to ensure we remain as safe as possible. Please read the instructions in the lodge re hygiene before use.UC Meeting 15 Sept
