Loss of allignment of scopes

There has been a couple of instances lately where we have found one or more telescopes to have lost alignment.

This is not a problem for members who are accredited, but is a major issue at the start of an open night.

We recognise that bad things happen. There is no blame in this as it happens to us all at times. If it happens to you and you are unable to fix it, please have the courtesy to note it in the book and if possible post under Observatory Activity in the forum so we know what went wrong. This makes it easier to fix if we know the problem.

Only accredited persons may use these scopes solo, but any member is welcome to use a telescope if there is an accredited member on site.

Please remember that in all cases to park the scope before shutting down. This may also sort out problems that occur during observation.
