“WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING AT NASA – an exoplanet internship at Jet Propulsion Lab”
Four years after leaving high school, Leah secured an internship at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) through the 2023 NZ Space Scholarship. During her time at JPL, she analysed large-scale data on exoplanet transits, sourced from both professional and amateur astronomers. Currently in her honours year at university, she is studying interstellar objects and is set to begin her PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this September. In this talk, Leah will share insights from her NASA projects and reflect on her internship experiences.
