Some of you will have got up in the early hours to watch the Dragon, name aptly named Endeavour, space craft launched for the first time with a human cargo. Who is going to forget the names of Doug and Bob and their slick new wardrobe. The internal tour was markedly different from the massive array of switches and toggles from the space shuttle.

The technology now exists to create some amazing movies. Some are heading more towards the impact on the being human aspects of training to be an astronaut.

Lumiere has one come back around from the International Festival last year. (The good ones always do swing back around.)

Proxima llink It appears to be only on the once at 6.00pm on Friday so act quick if you want to see it. Be quick! Cinema already half full at time I booked at Thursday 6.30pm.

On Netflix we have a more introspective look at Neil Armstrong with the movie ‘First Man’. And if you missed the amazing ‘Apollo 11’ movie last year you can now find it at the Alice DVD library. Spoil yourself with a bit of the more human side of being an Astronaut.
