One or two Volunteers for Saturday 11th

Hi crew!

We have a small group of cubs and keas which will be out at the observatory early Saturday evening from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

They are with Alana, one of our members who some of you may have met at open nights last year. Alana is also their cub leader. Simon will be organsing their visit, but we are looking for one or two more volunteers to help out.

This is not a big group. They are organising it in two small groups, first about 15 young Keas at 5:30, then 20 cubs. About 45 minutes per group. They will have a few leaders with them.

We’ll probably just operate the 11 and maybe a dob.

Unfortunately I’m in Wellington for a familly event.

The weather looks likely to be good enough to view the moon an a few bright clusters, maybe more, but the sky will still be fairly bright at 5:30.

 

Please post here if you can make it. We only need 1 or 2 volunteers, but we do need at least one more.
