Carol McAlaveyModeratorJohn Drummond from Gisborne will be visiting Chch for his talk on Tuesday 19 November but is coming in early as he would like to
visit our observatory and catch up with CAS members who are interested in astrophotography. Hopefully it will be a clear night so we can put our cameras to use, but if not he would still like to have a discussion/chat about cameras and astrophotography. Do come out and have a chat with someone who is extremely knowledgeable about the topic.November 15, 2019 at 12:56 am - Views: 278 #2050

Rob GlasseyModeratorLooks like I will be in town tonight after all. Looks like it could clear this evening too.
Sunset is after 8:30, and astro dark is after 10:30pm. Moonrise is after midnight. I hope to be setting up from 9:00 pm.
But I can come down earlier.

AnonymousInactivehi Rob,
I see you may be at Obs tonight 9pm or so, do you think it’s a good opportunity for me to come over and get acquainted with site etc.
And if John Drummond is there, it’ll be great hearing about astrophotography too.
Thanks, Raul (Oxford)
