Hello Chester,

Can you tell more about the 12inch F/5 Dob please. Is it commercially made, what condition, and the condition of the mirror surfaces.

Hi David,

The dob is a custom-made shell (?) using GSO mirrors and mirror cells. The mirror surfaces are in good shape (recently cleaned the primary), however, a bit dusty. The overall condition is usable, but not great.

I would offer for you to outright buy it, but someone has already bid. You’re basically buying the mirrors/telrad and collimator and you’re getting a free usable but not amazing shell, and the price reflects that.
