Terry RichardsonModeratorWe are going to scrape the site and bore the post holes for the retaining wall this Friday (show day).
I am hoping that we can concrete the posts on Saturday. For this we will need at least 5 people to operate concrete mixer, and wheelbarrow the mix to the holes. Starting at 10 AM I guess it will take till late afternoon.
I know it is a holiday weekend but if you can help could you please reply to this post.
This will of course be weather dependent as well. I will post here Friday night whether it is on or not or if we shift it to Sunday. Your availability for either day would be helpful.

Terry RichardsonModeratorThanks John and Bert. At this stage we will go ahead on Saturday but depends how the digger work goes on Friday.
We Still need 2 or 3 more people to make it easier for all. With these numbers we may have to overflow to Sunday so helpers for Sunday on standby would be a help. I am keen to get this part done as soon as possible so the holes don’t fill with water.
We will provide lunch and drinks on the day.
I will post here Friday night with details.

Terry RichardsonModeratorThe site is all shaped up and poles placed in the holes.
Tomorrow (Saturday) we will start at 10amĀ to mix and pour concrete in the holes. This will be a big job but we will get what we can done in the day. We do have a concrete mixer so not too much shoveling.
Lunch will be provided for the workers.
The weather looks ok at least for most of the day. Be prepared for sun and rain perhaps (we will stop if it rains).

Terry RichardsonModeratorA great big thank-you and golden accolades to the team who came today to do the concreting. We had plenty of willing helpers and the numbers meant the few did not do all the work. We completed the job which was beyond my wildest hopes. We had to prepare the site, cut the holes and concrete them before there was any rain. This we have achieved with time to spare.
I really appreciate the spirit of the members who came. I believe we all had a good time in the end.
Again, thanks, and take a bow for a job well done.
