Wednesday 3 August – Group bookings

The weather is looking hopeful, perhaps some high cloud later, but promising.

This week we have about 25 cubs, plus adults, from the Malvern Scout group, total about 30.

I can’t make it this week due to a flu, but Terry has offered to coordinate the evening.

Dale has offered to do the talk and meet them at the gate.

I gather the flooding is not so bad now, and the earthworks can be/is fenced off. Beware if bringing a car on site – there is not much space to maneuver. Probably better to park outside.

More volunteers needed to run scopes.

We’ll have a thin crescent moon and Saturn to look at. The bright clusters will still look great!

 

I’ll post here is we are cancelled/going ahead.

I dont know how to drive the flag on the front page for cancellation. I presume there is a facebook notification as well?

We are GO tonight!

The forecast has improved further. There still a chance of a bit of cloud later, but it’s unlikely to cause much problem.

 

We don’t put the group cancelation notices on the website as we contact the group organiser directly, and we don’t want to put an “open” notice on a publicly visible site.
